In 1991 I began working in glass. I was originally hired by Architectural Glass Art Inc. As
an artist/craftsperson, and worked my way up to Art Production Supervisor and Project Manager.
Working closely with Ken vonRoenn Jr. I have created hundreds of enduring works of glass art.
I have been involved in projects as large as the Three First Union building in Charlotte SC, and
the Fifth Third plaza sculpture in Cincinatti OH, and as small as a dichroic glass sculpture for the
mayor of Louisville.
With a BFA from Eastern Connecticut State University, my major concentration was in
sculpture. Working with stone, clay, metal, and found objects, I have created many unique pieces
of art. Over the years I have also been privileged to work with many artists from around the
country.
I started Rayluma in 2000, as a creative outlet and a sideline to my full time work. My
focus has been making fine art glass bowls and sculptures. I draw from the wide variety of
experiences and influences to create pieces which are both beautiful and accessable.
